Along with EPDWA (European Point of Use Drinking Water Association) we Recommend that All drinking water filters are changed every 6 months:

Point 6 in the EPDWA operating guidelines:

" The epdwa guidelines state that all pou filters are changed once every 6 months (+/- 10%), irrespective of some manufacturers claiming a longer life. This is to avoid the build up of bacteria inside the filter."

How To Change Your Water Filter:

 Pureflo Filter Change:

 Shut the filter valve or turn off The MAINS and open the drinking faucet.Unscrew the body, which will be full of water, from the head. The candle can now be pulled out from the head and replaced with a new one. Do Not touch the new Candle, use the protective wrapping to push it in, then remove the wrapping. (This is to avoid contamination). The housing can be washed with dishwashing soaps followed by a thorough rinse. Lubricate sump “O” ring with vegetable oil or Vaseline before screw-in the sump. Repeat the same process for the 2nd filter.

If normal use of the filter is interrupted by holidays or vacations, the first quart/liter of water may have “flat” or “stale” taste.Flushingthe system for several minutes after any prolonged period of inactivity will eliminate this problem.

SERVICING THE WATER FILTER : Replacement of the Supercarb candle is carried out as follows:

Do Not touch the new Candle, use the protective wrapping to screw it in, then remove the wrapping. (This is to avoid contamination). The housing can be washed with dishwashing soaps followed by a thorough rinse. Lubricate sump “O” ring with vegetable oil or Vaseline before screw-in the sump.
